My Etsy Christmas Wreaths

I decided to open up an Etsy store because I was making so many wreaths this year to keep myself busy! I just finished a huge order so I have a lot of different but similar styles.

Please go Like my new Facebook page KolbieAnn!

This one would make the perfect Christmas present ;)

I love all of the little picks I used for this wreath. Very traditional Christmas.

The first of my Merry Christmas wreaths!

This blue is so beautiful!

The last of my Merry Christmas collection.

I saw these Christmas tree's and knew it would be a perfect center piece!

My Lollipop wreath is probably my favorite one, I just adore the little gingerbread girl!

Candyland Christmas Tree

So I realize that it is a bit soon, and I have always been so against decorating for Christmas before Thanksgiving but this year I just couldn't help myself!
I forced Zack to help me and we put up one of the trees this weekend and decorated it, I will try and hold of on the other tree and the rest of my Christmas decorations until the day after Thanksgiving (haha hopefully)!!

I have been collecting different candy, gingerbread house and food ornaments for a few years now..

Most of them are from Hobby Lobby some are from Target and a few I have ordered from online sites such as Bronners.

This year I finally found the perfect tree to hang all of them on! It was from a local store here in Kansas City called
Seasonal Concepts. It is a 7.5" tall pre-lit multi color and its "flocked"or frosted as I like to call it.

This is my favorite gingerbread house!!

The little gingerbread girl and gingerbread boy are so adorable :)

And my favorite!! When it's lit up at night! I couldn't be happier, however, I think I am going to add some berry sticks from Hobby Lobby and maybe some ribbon. I will post updated photo's.

So as promised a few up to date photo's!!
I couldn't chose a tree topper so I went with a few "squiggles" that I found at Hobby Lobby!
I found a few bigger ornaments to add to the tree!

This is what my tree currently looks like! I am so in love with it :)
I am going to be making my own tree skirts for both of my tree's and I'm thinking about making my stockings too! I will post those tutorials later.

Violet Nails!

Decided to paint my nails today. I really need to get better about keeping them polished!

The main color that I used was "No More Film" listed as a creamy, seductive deep violet.

The accent nail is one of my favorite Orly glitters called Halo!

Halloween Decor

I am so sad that this mirror came crashing down. It looked so perfect up there.
If anyone has seen a black mirror around let me know I have been looking for awhile now and cant find one that I like.

I found this pillow at Target and Maddie just LOVES it, so I had to put it in her chair!!

I bought these candles at Michaels last year, I was a bit worried that the glitter would rub off but they still look brand new after being in storage all year!

I bought the two white pumpkins from Michaels a few years ago and just painted them. They look great next to the Beware sign I found at Hobby Lobby this year!

I didn't eve have time to put the basket where I wanted it in the living room before Maddie decided it was going to be her new bed!!

I bought these adorable glittery beaded pumpkins from Pier1 and I found the Boo at HobbyLobbby.

Happy Fall Y'all

I spent the weekend with the boy doing all things Fall/Halloween! We took a drive up to Weston, MO to visit the Weston Red Barn Farm Pumpkin Patch http://www.westonredbarnfarm.com and the Vaughn Orchard and Country Store!

We picked out three amazing and unique pumpkins!

That were SO expensive so we also went to our local grocery store and bought two traditional pumpkins for $10.00.

There were so many amazing things to do at Weston!
They have a corn maize, hayrack ride, a barnyard with goats, donkeys, horses, piglets, and chickens! They also have pony rides of course the pumpkin patch and a cute little country store with all kinds of goodies!

We also stopped by the apple orchard and looked around their country store!

So many goodies like salt water taffy and the different kinds of flavored apple cider; black cherry, blackberry, caramel, cinnamon!

I decided that I wanted to do an owl design for my pumpkin this year.
I am totally obsessing over owls right now!

Then we ended the night with a hot cup of our apple cider! Zack got the tradition plain apple cider and I went with the blackberry apple cider. It's so delish!!

Once again... obsessed with owl's! I die over this mug I got from Kriklands.com

Mima's Lasagna

 My Mima's Lasagna Recipe!

1 cup minced onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (28 ounce) can no salt crushed tomatoes
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
2(6.5 ounce) can no salt canned tomato sauce
1 teaspoon white sugar
3 tablespoons ketchup
2 teaspoons red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
2 teaspoons ground black pepper
1 package lasagna noodles
1 pound lean ground beef
16 ounces ricotta cheese
3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

Start off by browking the beef, in the pan add 1/3 cup minced onion, 1 teaspoon black pepper, and 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes.

Also start boiling the lasagna noodles, add a splash of oil and a pinch of salt.

To make the sauce start off by adding 2/3 cup onion and the other clove of garlic to the pan with a splash of oil, let that cook for a minute before adding the can of no salt crushed tomatoes.

After that cooks for a minute you can add in the no salt tomato sauce, tomato paste, white sugar, ketchup, dried basil, italian seasoning, garlic salt, and the other teaspoon of black pepper and red pepper flakes.
Cook on simmer for 20 minutes.

Once the burger, noodles and sauce are all ready you can pre heat the oven to 375 degrees and grab a 9x13 baking dish.

I start off by pouring a layer of sauce and the laying down a layer of noodles, on top of the noodles I spread a layer of ricotta cheese.

On top of the ricotta cheese I sprinkle on the cooked burger.

Next I pour on more of the sauce.

Continue this process until you run out of noodles or you reach the top of the pan.

On the top layer I sprinkle on the 3/4 cup of parmesan cheese!!

Cover with foil and place on the bottom rack to bake for 25 minutes.

Remove the foil and continue to bake for another 25 minutes.

Place on a cooling rack and let the dish sit for about 15 minutes before serving, I think that this is the hardest part because it smells so amazing I always just want to cut into it right away!!
